I-765D: Liberian Deferred Enforced Departure Supplement To I-765

Attach to Form I-765 when applying for employment authorization if you are a Liberian national present in the U.S. under certain conditions with respect to which the President has granted protection from removal until September 29, 2002.

I-589: Application for Asylum/Withholding of Removal

Use Form I-589 if you are in the U.S. and want to request asylum from persecution in your home country. You may simultaneously apply for withholding of removal from the U.S., pending USCISs decision on your asylum application, using the same Form.

I-590: Registration for Classification as a Refugee

Complete Form I-590 if you are outside the U.S. and wish to register for classification as a refugee. This Form must be fully completed and signed, and submitted to the officer in charge of the Overseas Office of the Immigration and Naturalization Service nearest your residence. Complete a separate I-590 for you and each member of your family. You must sign in behalf of your child if he or she is under the age of 14.

I-817: Application for Voluntary Departure Under Family Unity Program

Use Form I-817 to apply for voluntary departure status if you are the spouse or unmarried child under the age of 21 of a legalized alien granted amnesty or SAW benefits and you have been physically present in the U.S. since May 5, 1988 or December 1, 1988. If the application for voluntary departure is approved, you may continue to live and work in the U.S. for the duration of the authorized status. During this time, USCIS is precluded from removing you from the country, other than for certain crimes or security reasons. The approval is usually good for 2 years and can be extended. If the application is denied, you may file a new I-817, attaching additional evidence you believe will assist in overcoming the denial.

I-821: Application for Temporary Protected Status

Use Form I-821 if you are (1) a national or resident of a country designated for temporary protected status (TPS); (2) you have been continuously present in the U.S. since the date of designation of the country for TPS; and (3) you will be in illegal immigration status on the date of designation.
